Plastics Out – Sustainability In: A Packaging Revolution

In 2024, we made a bold and deliberate move to eliminate plastic from our packaging processes, marking a major milestone in our sustainability journey.

With growing awareness of the environmental impact of single-use plastics, we committed to replacing all plastic bags and wrapping materials with recyclable paper solutions and biodegradable alternatives. This shift wasn’t just symbolic—it delivered measurable results: we successfully reduced our plastic film usage by more than 170 kilograms per year.

But our efforts didn’t stop at packaging. We also addressed the often-overlooked issue of plastic pallets in our logistics operations. Over the course of the year, we replaced 1,360 plastic pallets with conventional and recyclable wooden pallets, significantly reducing our reliance on synthetic materials and contributing to a more circular supply chain.

This initiative, titled “Plastics out – biodegradables & recyclables in,” reflects our broader commitment to environmental responsibility. By rethinking the materials we use every day, we’re not only reducing waste but also setting a new standard for sustainable business practices.

Our transition to eco-friendly packaging is part of a larger strategy to minimize our ecological footprint, support climate goals, and align with the expectations of our customers, partners, and communities. We believe that sustainability is not a trend—it’s a responsibility. And with every step we take, we aim to inspire others in our industry to follow suit.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved in 2024, and we’re even more excited about what’s ahead. As we continue to innovate and improve, our focus remains clear: creating solutions that are good for business and better for the planet.
